We have a 3 bedroom bungalow located on the private  and gated Kings Park Estate adjacent to Sovereign Harbour in Eastbourne, East Sussex, which in July 2015 received a 4 star rating from Visit England along with a Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence awarded in 2017, 2018 & 2019. A new front conservatory and upgraded patio furniture was added in 2016. NEW in 2017 was a shower room with wc and washbasin, utility area, plus a rear entrance added. Despite our 4 star rating being renewed by Visit England for 2016 & 2017, we have decided to withdraw from this scheme due to increased fees with little benefit. Our high standards will not be affected.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we have provided  soap dispensers in both bathrooms and the kitchen. The property is deep cleaned after each letting and we ask that all holiday makers regularly wipe down all surfaces during and at the end of their stay in addition to complying with social distancing rules  when requested outside the bungalow area while on Kings Park. Bedding and towels are provided for your stay, however, we do ask that beds are stripped and bedding and towels are placed in bags provided to assist our housekeeper.

 

The bungalow has been refurbished throughout and offers accommodation for upto 6 persons in 3 double

bedrooms to include 1 kingsize and 2 twin beds. A fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer

and for 2017, a dishwasher, is provided, along with a family bathroom with showerscreen and a second with walk-in shower and wc. Large flatscreen TV's are installed in the lounge, master bedroom and one of the twin bedrooms. A utility area adjacent to the backdoor now offers a washing machine and tumbledryer. The bungalow is 'all electric' and operates on a smart card meter basis purchased on Kings Park, the first £5 is provided..

 

Outside a new smart low level boundary fence offers a safe area for very young children along with a soft play area with small slide and play house. For adults, a newly enlarged patio area is provided  at the front for the balmy hot summer evenings with a smaller patio and table, chairs and bench at the rear by the garden area.

 

The gated Kings Park Estate is a very safe area with residential traffic only, which is restricted to 10mph. The bungalow is situated approximately 25 metres from the end of the access road where parking spaces are available. 

Dogs are allowed subject to our agreement at time of booking. They are not allowed on any furniture, must be well behaved and kept on a maximum 3 metre lead at all times while on Kings Park

 

Sovereign Harbour with its Cafes, Wine Bars, Pubs, Shops and Restaurants is a 10 minute walk away and the Retail park with ASDA, Boots, Next, TK Maxx, Sports Direct, B&M and Matalan, even closer. A Harvester is situated on the harbourside too.

 

Eastbourne centre, no more than 2 miles away, can be reached by car or via a number of buses from a stop outside Kings Park on the main Eastbourne to Pevensey road.

 

The seafront can be reached by the harbour on foot or by bus or car, a short 5 minute ride away.

 

Eastbourne itself offers excellent amenities including a well maintained seafront promenade, bandstand with regular concerts throughout the season, one of the best examples of our seaside piers and the Congress Theatre with a year round entertainment programme. A wide selection of shops and restaurants are also to hand. Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park is within a couple of miles of the promenade.

 

Our bungalow is conveniently located for Princes Park, Eastbourne Tennis Week (pre Wimbledon) and Airbourne, Eastbourne's International Airshow. Drusillas Theme Park is also a short drive away. More information on these and places to visit can be found under "Out and About".
